Giving Back

Dr. Fonseca and our team are committed to giving back to our community. We raise awareness for causes and individuals in the community that need support. We are enthusiastic about bringing the community together and empowering others. Endo Excellence has the power to bring positive change, and we will continue to strive to create a happier community. Below are the causes we have supported in the last year that have warmed our hearts.

Dr. Fonseca has spent every Christmas morning for almost two decades at the Crossroad’s home in Cinnaminson gifting presents to the children. The Crossroad Program has a very special place in Dr. Sara’s heart. Dr. Sara first became aware of the program when she was volunteering and performing root canal therapy for a resident of the program; thus, a friendship was born. The Crossroad Program is a residential treatment home that provides young adults with an opportunity to practice the skills needed for independent living. Dr. Sara is inspired by how hard working and determined the kids are. She continues to give gifts every Christmas because the very first year she started this giving tradition, one of the girls smiled with tears in her eyes and genuine gratitude and said, “This is the best Christmas I’ve ever had in my entire life.” Since then, Dr. Fonseca makes sure the kids in the Crossroad Program have something to look forward to on Christmas.

In October, thousands of people rallied around the Cooper River to attend the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. Our office partnered with our amazing referring dental practices to raise money and awareness to save lives and honor the lives that have been lost from breast cancer. We walked this iconic and celebrated 5k as the “Dental Divas”. The Dental Divas team was so powerful, because every individual that walked for this cause has been personally affected by breast cancer. Whether they were breast cancer survivors themselves or had a loved one fight breast cancer, these dental practices came together to create hope, change and awareness for a disease that 1 in 8 women will develop. The energy at the event was so positive and inspiring. Funding, research, support and awareness is essential for women fighting breast cancer. This walk brings us one step closer to saving women’s lives.

Dr. Fonseca is on the event committee for the “Stand up for a child” CASA fundraiser. CASA stands for “Court Appointed Special Advocates”. This association promotes court-appointed advocates for abused or neglected children to ensure these children are in safe and healthy, permanent homes. Endo Excellence makes generous donations to the association, and helps to raise awareness for CASA with her staff. Dr. Sara believes that every child deserves a safe home.

Our office has sponsored a golf hole for ten consecutive years at the Burlington County Shrine Club. This sponsor donates money to the non-profit, Shriners Hospitals for Children. Shriners hospital for children is a destination health care provider with children in need of upper and lower extremity orthopedic care, spinal cord injury services, neuromuscular care, sports injuries and acute orthopedic care; regardless of the patients’ ability to pay. Donating to Shriners for the past decade is simply a “thank you” from Dr. Sara. She knows this cause is saving children’s lives and helping disadvantaged children thrive.

Dr. Fonseca is a volunteer for the Dental Lifeline Network. She volunteers with the Donated Dental Services Program to provide dental care to our country’s most vulnerable individuals with disabilities. Dr. Sara is honored to be a member of a program that has donated over $378 million in donated dental therapies.
